Most people are not meeting their daily nutritional requirements, even though they are above their recommended bodyweight. Having excess bodyweight significantly increases chronic disease risk and can decrease lifespan (DGA, 2020).
We provide nutrition counseling in individual and small group sessions to establish personal health goals, personalized action plans, monitor and adjust plans, track health measures, guidance to assure that you are on the right path, maintain motivation, and provide a supportive community of people with shared goals.
Adults should get at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorously intense physical activity weekly, plus strength-training that involves all major muscle groups on 2 or more days per week (CDC, 2024).
We provide fitness personal training in individual sessions to establish personal health goals and abilities, create a personalized action plan, monitor movement patterns for safety and injury prevention, track progress, build confidence in performing exercise routines, and maintain motivation. Group sessions are not currently offered, but can be arranged by request.
Diet and exercise are important lifestyle factors, but research shows other lifestyle habits are also important for health. Sleep, non-exercise activity, smoking cessation, and stress play critical roles in disease prevention and management.
We provide healthy lifestyle coaching to compliment the other important factors of health, nutrition and exercise. Identifying lifestyle habits that may be harmful to us, then creating a plan to make small, manageable adjustments to form healthier habits around sleep, stress management, and other daily habits can have huge impact on overall health and wellbeing.
